Linus

In May of 2020, Linus came to live on the farm as a breeding buck. He was just a weanling, but he fit himself into the herd with no fuss.

He spent his first summer just grazing with the herd and growing up. He has a very affectionate personality, constantly wanting to be scratched and loved on. Even as he got older and “discovered” girls, he would still be underfoot whenever I was in the field. He bred both Sabrina and Allykat, fathering 2 kids from Sabrina and one from Alli. His daughter, Saffron is so beautiful, I chose to rebreed Sabrina to Linus this year, instead of Jax. I’m hoping to get another beautiful doe before switching to Jax.

Originally, the plan was to have Jax be the herd sire and retire Linus, since he’s fairly closely related to most of the herd. But he got to offer his services to a couple outside does this fall and it looks like he’ll stick around for a while. He has turned into quite a handsome (if stinky) buck, and he can show Jax the ropes.
